All new students begin with our Initial Ball Striking Evaluation. Throughout your SKILL BUILDER GOLF experience our evaluations are there to set the table for what's to come. Our evaluations will introduce you to things you might not be aware of. They will educate, entertain, motivate and help you find your focus. The goal of the Initial Ball Striking Evaluation is to introduce you to our facility, staff and most importantly our four fundamentals of ball striking. With a thorough introduction you can decide if you want to take the next step and become a skill builder.
The evaluation session is 60min. long and costs $150. The session can be done privately or with a friend. Either way the total cost is $150. Click here to pay for the session. SKILL BUILDER GOLF works with students from all over New England and is conveniently located inside the Answer is Fitness Gym at 300 Turnpike Street in Canton, Massachusetts
Before your evaluation session you will receive a text with some simple instructions. Your instructor is in and out of lessons so to avoid playing phone tag and get quick answers to any questions just send a text to (781)422-8450.
Dress comfortably. Golf attire is not required. You can wear sneakers or golf shoes. The session will introduce you to new concepts and feels that apply to every swing but you only need your 7 iron.
When you arrive text your instructor at the number they reached out to you with earlier. They will meet you at the front desk and will lead you back to the SKILL BUILDER GOLF facility. Once inside you will have a couple minutes to warm up before the session begins.
In this 60min. session it is our goal to explain the only four things we ever work on in the golf swing. Use this opportunity to evaluate us, our facility and our methods. Listen closely and ask us any questions you might have so you can learn as much as possible.
Whether you think you can get better or don't you're probably right. Students who find the most success are definitely the ones who have positive attitudes, open minds, an ability to think critically and a strong desire to improve.
Do you focus on what you are doing wrong or what your are trying to do right? Our initial ball striking evaluation will direct your focus to where it is most productive. While other instruction providers work to create a long list of everything you're doing wrong as a way to sell you more lessons we deliver a short achievable list of the things you need to get right. With consistent work and a commitment to our process anyone can become an expert ball striker.
We focus on four fundamentals of ball striking. These fundamentals are in your swing right now. The question is whether or not you understand what they are and can control them. Don't be embarrassed if your instructor asks you questions you don't know the answers to or gives you challenging physical tasks you struggle to accomplish. Think it through and give it your best effort. This will help both you and us better understand where you are today and where you can improve.
It's not uncommon that the concepts and movements introduced during the evaluation make the student feel awkward and uncoordinated. The golf swing can be difficult to lean but when the right drills are used to simplify the motion and students have a place to put in the work weak areas become strengths and students can expect a huge improvement in their ball striking ability.
For many students our four fundamentals of better ball striking require coordination and logic they don't have. To help overcome this we utilize simple, inexpensive yet effective training aids that help students develop a feel for the new motion and more confidence in their ball striking abilities.
