EVALUATE
All new students begin with an evaluation session. We recommend students start with our Initial Ball Striking Evaluation but we also offer equipment and fitness evaluations. The Ball Striking evaluation session is 60min. long and costs $100. The session is your chance to give us a try. We will spend the session discussing our four fundamentals of ball striking. The session is an opportunity to evaluate our methods, our facilities and your instructor. After the session you can decide whether or not SKILL BUILDER GOLF is right for you.

Before your evaluation session you will receive a text with some simple instructions. Your instructor is in and out of lessons so to avoid playing phone tag and get quick answers to any questions just send a text to (781)422-8450.

Dress comfortably. Golf attire is not required. You can wear sneakers or golf shoes. The session will introduce you to new concepts and feels that apply to every swing but you only need your 7 iron.

When you arrive text your instructor at the number they reached out to you with earlier. They will meet you at the front desk and will lead you back to the SKILL BUILDER GOLF facility. Once inside you will have a couple minutes to warm up before the session begins.

In this 60min. session it is our goal to explain everything. Use this opportunity to evaluate us, our facility and our methods. Listen closely and ask us any questions you might have so you can learn as much as possible.

During the Initial Ball Striking Evaluation we will introduce you to four fundamentals of Ball Striking. These fundamentals are in your swing right now. The question is whether you understand the concepts and can control them. Don't be embarrassed if your instructor asks you questions you don't know the answer to or gives you challenging physical tasks you struggle to accomplish. Think it through and give it your best effort. This will help both you and us better understand where you are today and where you can improve.

For many students the four fundamentals introduced require coordination and logic the student doesn't yet possess. If this leaves you thinking these are areas you'd like to improve you can enroll in our Ball Striking 101 program. The program utilizes simple, inexpensive yet extremely effective training aids that will help you develop a feel for and understanding of the concepts delivered in the lessons. The training aids can be purchased from us but they are so simple you can even make your own.

It's not uncommon that the concepts and movements introduced during the evaluation make the student feel awkward and uncoordinated. To overcome this we prescribe a series of drills throughout our BALL STRIKING 101 program. The golf swing can be difficult but when the right drills are used to simplify the motion we are trying to learn, weak areas become strengths and students can expect a huge improvement in their ball striking ability.

Do you focus on what you are doing wrong or what your are trying to do right? We designed our initial ball striking evaluation to direct your focus where it is most productive. While other instruction providers work to create a long list of everything you're doing wrong we deliver a short achievable list of the things you need to get right. With consistent work and a commitment to our process anyone can become a ball striking expert.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE
If at the end of the session you are convinced we can help you improve and you want to continue tell your instructor you would like to setup your first BALL STRIKING 101 session. Those who book the first session of our BALL STRIKING 101 training program on the day of their evaluation will receive a commitment discount of $100. Students are expected to pay for the program in full when they arrive on the day of their first session.

We recently changed our name from THE SWING LAB to SKILL BUILDER GOLF. THE SWING LAB is now a place to practice and SKILL BUILDER GOLF is the place to get an education in ball striking. All lesson packages sold under THE SWING LAB will be honored by SKILL BUILDER GOLF.
